I absolutely love to send and receive handwritten letters! I think it stems from my grandmother sending letters to me throughout my life. It is a form of writing that is rapidly being replaced by typing and talk-to-text technology.

As you have already figured out, I am a huge fan of Kid President and absolutely love his book "Guide to Being Awesome". I stumbled upon task #38 in the book where he says "Send a card every day for 365 days". For some reason, this immediately stood out to me and I thought "Cards can be costly, but I could write a letter....". The #Marcella365 challenge was born! I wrote a letter to family, friends, and famous people that I admire every day from 2016-2017.

It was astounding the amount of people who wrote back to me! The power of a handwritten letter went far and meant a lot to many people. A regular reply was "I haven't received a handwritten letter in a long time." I was happy to provide that joy for them! It brings me a lot of joy to send a letter, postcard, or card through "snail mail". There is just something about opening up a letter addressed to you and seeing the time and effort someone put into their handwritten words!
